Filters, Safety Valves, Silencers en Piping
In addition to blowers, Sjerp & Jongeneel also supplies a complete range of accessories, such as filters and valves. Filters help to ensure greater operating reliability and valves help to ensure a constant system pressure or security against overloading or over-heating. For pressure purposes, one uses suction filters. These are available in metal and as cartridge filters made from paper, polyester or wire mesh. Vacuum filters are used in a suction pipe and are always part of the exchange system. The valves are available in metal and synthetic materials and the size is determined by the size of the blower. Further, Sjerp & Jongeneel also supplies a whole series of silencers which are used in addition to the silencers included in the blowers.
Generally, metal filters, cartridge filters and vacuum filters are used to protect the blower against external impurities like dust and dirt. This helps to extend the blower’s life span and prevents defects. Safety valves, over-pressure valves and non-return valves potentially protect the blower and make it safer, in case circumstances cause the operating pressure to rise to excessive levels. In particular installations, non-return valves prevent fluid from flowing back into the blower. Extra silencers are used for open ports, for example, the discharge opening of a vacuum pump. If a vacuum filter has been applied to an opening, then an additional noise damper is generally not needed.
